Blog post #1- Consolidating a dream.Â
I have always loved creating things. Putting pen on paper has always been the most accessible means of creation.
When I was young, my mother had boxes full of craft paper to do scrapbooking and as a 4-year-old, I idealized my mum and began copying her scrapbooking. Then it expanded into cardmaking, painting, and paper construction.
Though school, I was able to use the resources and join art classes.
In high school, I took visual arts and during exam leave, that's the only place people would be able to find me. Then came the time to actually action the biggest question of my time.
"What are you going to do when you've finished school?"
Naturally, I wanted to do something that incorporated my passion for creation. There were too many possibilities, a fashion designer? a baker? product design? (I do love boxes!) architect? app designer? I tried all the options theoretically in my head but only one option shone through,
I wanted to be a teacher!
I could design clothes with children. We could become pastry chefs together! We could design a playground! I can make games for the children!
And that is where the dream was realized. I could make things that could teach and bring joy to children.
